We are currently seeking a


CNC LASER PROGRAMMER


For a local SIDNEY manufacturing


 


 


JOB DESCRIPTION:



  1. Programs, sets up, and operates CNC laser cutting machine or other machinery according to blueprint specifications.

  2. Utilizes G or M code, CAD and CAM software (Truetops preferred).

  3. Tests accuracy of settings and programs.

  4. Operates machines and monitors operation and controls panel displays to detect malfunctions and make adjustments.

  5. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function

  6. Startup, operation, shutdown and maintenance of CNC fiber laser machine.

  7. Select nozzles for particular material being processed.

  8. Load programs and set machine parameters to achieve best performance.

  9. Operate forklift.

  10. Operate gantry and jib crane.

  11. Load/install cutting fixtures onto machine. Also, uninstall and unload store fixtures.

  12. Troubleshoot and identify machine problems.

  13. Perform first, last and periodical checks on parts utilizing precision measuring equipment and associated quality documents.

  14. Follow routings, schedules and work instructions.

  15. Communicate machine/quality issues to maintenance, quality and support personnel.

  16. Other duties as assigned.


 

Required Qualifications :

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:




High school diploma or GED equivalency.  Two (2) years of directly related experience.


Basic reading, writing, and some advanced math skills required. Ability to read, interpret, and create blueprints and schematics. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers. Using hand tools and machines proficiently.  Measuring, cutting, or working on items with great accuracy.
