Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift for the purposes of moving, locating, stacking, and counting merchandise in a warehouse or production facility. The operator is also responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to move, load, and unload products and materials in a warehouse, yard, or production environment.


• Transport goods to and from storage areas, production lines, loading docks, and delivery vehicles.


• Stack and store products in designated areas using the forklift.


• Inspect forklift equipment before and after use to ensure it’s in proper working condition.


• Follow company safety standards and protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear.


• Assist with inventory management and participate in cycle counts.


• Identify and report any mechanical issues or damages with the forklift.


• Maintain a clean and organized work area.


• Follow all safety regulations and adhere to OSHA and company standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a forklift operator.


• Valid forklift operator certification.


• Ability to operate a forklift safely in a fast-paced environment.


• Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects.


• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.


• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software is a plus.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.


• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
