Job Description :

We are currently seeking 


SIT-DOWN FORKLIFT OPERATOR 


for a local PIQUA manufacturing company




POSITION SUMMARY:




Sit-down forklift operators will be working in the warehouse and primarily responsible for receiving, sorting, packing, and loading cardboard cartons containing baby products, ensuring accurate inventory and proper handling of goods while adhering to company safety standards; duties may include scanning items, stacking cartons on pallets, and loading them onto delivery trucks, requiring physical stamina and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. 






KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:










  • Receiving and Unloading:

    Receive incoming shipments of products, verifying quantities and condition against packing slips. 

     











  • Sorting and Labeling:

    Accurately sort cartons based on product type and destination, applying necessary labels and barcodes. 

     











  • Packaging and Assembly:

    Pack individual items into cartons, ensuring proper packaging materials and securing boxes for transport. 

     











  • Pallet Building:

    Stack cartons neatly on pallets, following proper stacking techniques to maximize space and stability. 

     











  • Loading and Unloading Trucks:

    Load and unload pallets from delivery trucks using warehouse equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified). 

     











  • Inventory Management:

    Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating system data. 

     











  • Quality Control:

    Inspect cartons for damage and report any issues to supervisors. 

     











  • Safety Compliance:

    Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and wearing required safety gear. 

     










 

 

Required Qualifications :
**Must have SIT-DOWN forklift experience and a valid driver's license**

 


 




Required Skills and Qualifications:



 





  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy boxes consistently throughout the shift. 

     



  • Attention to Detail: Accurate scanning and labeling of products is crucial. 

     



  • Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory tracking. 

     



  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other warehouse staff to meet daily shipping deadlines. 

     



  • Forklift Certification: Preferred for operating forklifts to move heavier loads. 




EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 



  • High school diploma or equivalent; related experience and/or training.

  • Forklift license or willing to obtain forklift license


 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 



  • Physical Requirements, Medium work: Lifting 70 pounds repeatedly

  • Physically able to Twist/Turn/Bend/Reach/Push/Pull Motions entire shift.
