GENERAL LABORER – 2nd SHIFT






 





Local manufacturing company's  Production Department is seeking to add General Laborers/Machine Operators to their facility in TROY


 


Successful candidates will be operating a machine at production standards while meeting quality and safety standards in the manufacturing of coated and non-woven abrasives.


 







Responsibilities Include



  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders

  • Pull correct material and fill out proper paper work

  • Setting up and operating machinery

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds or more depending on position

  • Utilizes 1to eliminate excess scrap and waste

  • Reports any material, or machine problems to Supervisor or Manager

  • Maintains a clean safe, and organized work area at the end of each shift

  • Responsible for cleaning and organizing your area

  • Work well in a team environment 






 






 HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS POSITION: 



  • 2nd shift hours – Monday-Thursday 03:00pm-01:30am

  • 3 Day weekend

  • $640/weekly avg. pay (direct deposit or pay card)

Required Qualifications :

Skills



  • High School Diploma or equivalent



  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities



  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition and subtraction, and to multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to use and read a tape measure
