We are currently seeking

1st Shift PRESS OPERATOR/ASSEMBLY 

for a local PIQUA manufacturing company 



 

JOB DESCRIPTION:



We are recruiting for a local company in Piqua that is a manufacturer of cargo and trunk systems, acoustic barriers, water shield solutions and protective in-transit materials. 


 


Responsible for operating presses and assemble parts and products to meet the needs of internal and external customers. Conform to all customer requirements by performing defect-free work and continuously improving our process and effectiveness of our quality management system.


 


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Assemble and fabricate parts to meet customer requirements

  • Clean parts. (Brush off parts and perform minor cleaning, clean out punches and shake out slugs on certain parts, and clean gaskets to meet customer specs)

  • Perform in-process quality checks and pull out parts that do not meet specifications, gauging parts as necessary

  • Lift and load materials using a hoist

  • Prepare boxes, labels, tags, tickets, etc. and stack, bag or box parts

  • Complete production paperwork by recording production quantities, scrap, etc. and collect appropriate data per work instructions or task

  • Obey safety procedures and safely operate all presses and assembly equipment in a safe manner

  • Be a team player and assist co-workers as needed

  • Participate in employee involvement programs

  • Maintain a clean work area

  • Support and participate in the lean manufacturing process


 


HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS POSITION:



  • 1st shift Monday-Friday

  • 8 hour shift

  • Weekly pay

  • $600/week avg. pay (before taxes)

Required Qualifications :

Required Job Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Ability to learn press operation and assembly processes

  • Basic reading and math skills

  • Fit into team and continuous improvement environment

  • Ability to learn to use appropriate measuring devices

  • Good manual dexterity

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and maneuver 50 pounds

  • Previous experience with a hoist is a plus


Desired Job Qualifications:



  • Previous die-cutting, assembly, press operator and/or automotive experience
