Job Description :
We are currently seeking a

SLED TEST TECHNICIAN

for a local PIQUA, OH manufacturing company

 

 


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:




The Sled Test Technician is responsible for assisting testing on child restraints and boosters and confirming that testing meets internal, external and government regulated test requirements. The typical activities of this position include assembling and disassembling test devices as well as setting up child restraints and boosters per existing test procedures, documenting test and results, and communicating results. The expectations of the Sled Test Technician are as follows:


 


Examples of Typical Activities:



  • Perform tests in a repeatable and consistent manner.

  • Provide factual data regarding test results.

  • Form working relationships with other associates within organization

  • Communicate test results

  • Set up testing Fixtures

  • Document test procedures and results

  • Follow detailed test specifications & able to read basic design drawings & schematics


Required Qualifications :

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:



  • High School diploma or GED required

  • Mechanical experience preferred

  • Test lab experience preferred

  • Experience with electronics and data acquisition systems

  • Associate degree in relevant technical discipline preferred


 


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:





  • Computer literate - proficient in Word, Excel, internet research

  • Mechanical Aptitude – Demonstrates interest and aptitude for mechanical things

  • Ability to fixture and set up tests

  • Reliable and eager to learn

  • Desire to show initiative outside of daily task

  • Demonstrate high levels of attention to detail

  • Able to utilize problem solving methods when needed

  • Basic Math Skills

  • Basic measurement skills

  • Demonstrate aptitude with tools

  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills

  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed in order to meet project deadlines




PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Required to lift 50lbs on a regular basis and 100lbs intermittently. No physical restrictions for lifting, climbing, etc.

  • Ability to work with hands
